UPS Worldship

UPS WorldShip Integration Overview:

Use the power of the internet coupled with the automation of business processes to reduce costs, increase profitability, improve productivity and increase efficiencies to become more competitive in the marketplace. Streamlining operations in the warehouse by empowering your workers with better technology and tools is a giant step forward in accomplishing these goals.

Integrating the state of the art shipping system from UPS, WorldShip, with your enterprise software system is a critical milestone in this process. Allowing data to flow freely without redundant data entry through the customer order, picking, packing, order fullfillment, shipping and invoicing process is the way to achieve this goal. Your warehouse workers can now concentrate on getting the products out the door rather than being bogged down with paperwork and clerical functions.

Our UPS WorldShip Integration software moves data directly into the UPS shipping and tracking systems without duplicate data entry from workers that might be prone to errors. This data is automatically transmitted to UPS and the shipping manifest completed automatically. UPS tracking numbers are assigned and stored with the order for future reference.

Add our Weight Scale Interface at an extra cost and the package weight is automatically entered into the UPS manifest system from the scale. No data entry required!

Take the powerful next step. Purchase our E-ACCESS Notification Software and coupled with the Microsoft SQL Server database engine the system will automatically transmit the shipping acknowledgement to your customer by email. This will contain a link to the UPS web site and the UPS Tracking Number. No more customer service issues regarding inquiries as to shipment or delivery!

Operation Description: The first step in using the UPS World Ship is to enter an order within order entry. Nothing has changed on this screen so the order is placed as it normally is.(See figure1.)

Now that an order has been placed the next step is order fulfillment. This is where some modifications have been done. When fulfilling an order the user can now designate it as a UPS order by clicking the box near the "save" button (see figure 2). When an order is saved as a UPS order it is held in a table within CPACCESS Financials until it is imported into UPS.

Once an order has been fulfilled and has been saved as a UPS order it can now be imported into the UPS World Ship, along with all other UPS orders. To accomplish this the user will run a batch import from UPS (see figure 3) and then select the CPACCESS Financials batch (see figure 4). After the import is run all orders that were marked as UPS orders will be imported into UPS and the information will be automatically entered (see figure 5 and 6).
